The statewide bonsai show has been cancelled, and we look forward to an even bigger and better show next year!

📣 Deadwood Workshop

A reminder that our new Deadwood Aesthetics & Design Study Group kicks off Saturday, August 29 — spots are limited!

The focus of this group will be hands-on learning and refinement of deadwood techniques, including:

• Roughing out and refining deadwood using both Dremel and hand tools
• Creating and improving deadwood so it complements and enhances the overall flow and design of the tree
• Identifying and removing punky wood to halt decay and begin the preservation process (a critical first step before any refinement work)

To keep things productive and give everyone meaningful one-on-one time, each session is capped at 5 participants. Sessions run roughly 9am–5pm, meeting 2–3 times per year. If we have enough interest (7–10 people), we can split into two groups across separate days.
