Greetings, NBS Members!
October means auction season! Our biggest fundraiser of the year — the NBS Auction / Picnic — is Saturday, October 24 at Creekside Bonsai Nursery. Start pulling trees, pots, and tools from your collection now. Plus, a last-call for Andrew Robson, Knoxville's 25th Anniversary Show, and workshop sign-ups running through December.
NBS Auction / Picnic — Saturday, October 24, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Our NBS Auction/Picnic is fast approaching on October 24th, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. It will be held at Creekside Bonsai Nursery (6304 Hills Chapel Road, Nashville).
We encourage everyone to look at their collections now and identify any trees, pots, etc. that you would like to donate to NBS or sell at auction. There is a 15% cut with proceeds going to NBS on all items. There will not be a limit placed on members' items for sale.
We will start setting up at 11:00am. You will be responsible to come early and fill out your paperwork before the auction starts at 12:30pm.
Albert Kolbe will be in charge of the auction, but he will need several volunteers to help him. Please text (615 830-4098) or email ([email protected]) me if you can volunteer!!!
If you would like to drop off items ahead of time that you are donating, please feel free to bring them to my home in Brentwood (1204 Chickasaw Drive).
Also, we need members to bring "Sides" for the Picnic: vegetables/casseroles, pasta, fruit, desserts, chips & drinks.
Workshop Sign-Ups on the Website
We still have 1 or 2 slots open on our website for Andrew Robson (Mr. Deciduous) in Nashville on October 15th.
November we have website sign-up for John Eads' Workshop on the 14th.
We will be signing up Kaya Mooney on our website soon! He will be here the weekend of November 21–22.
December we have website sign-up for Randy Bennett's Workshop on the 5th.
